KIDMO...
A high-powered interactive series about being a Christ centered kid to the max for all 1-6th graders! This year we are learning about "Super U"! Johnny Rogers will take you to God’s action hero boot camp to raise up the Superhero you were created to be. Come on out Thursday, September 15, 7:00-8:30 p.m. and invite a friend. Newcomer Reception…
Have you been coming to Oakbrook for 6 months or less? We would love the opportunity to get to know you better. There will be a reception on Sunday, September 25th after the service in the multi-purpose room. Come meet the pastors and staff and learn more about the church ministries.

KINGDOM KIDZ WELL CLASSES....
Begin Sept. 11, 9:30-10:30 AM! Late Elementary age kids will "Grapple" with tough questions in their lives and be encouraged to practice their faith all week long, Early Elementary age kids will learn "What's in the Bible?." Preschool/kindergarten age kids will "Play & Worship"! For more info, see the sign-up area in the lobby.
Stewards of Creation…
will host a presentation by Patrick Angel Ph.D. on 10/8 at 7 PM. Patrick is a forester and soil scientist who works for the Dept. of the Interior, Office of Surface Mining and Reclamation. Learn about the impact of mountain top removal coal mining, the Appalachian Reforestation Initiative, ARRI's connection with the UN and a very special bird that we share with Columbia, South America. If you've wondered what the SOC tree planters are up to, thought about going with us or just like trees...this is an event you won't want to miss!
Jail Aftercare Ministry Training...
Starts 9/19; this excellent 6 week training program; volunteers minister the love of Jesus to the inmates at the Fairfax jail for 3 months prior to release and those 6 critical months afterwards. Contact Vic: vrinaldi47@comcast.net.
