Kids Ministry at Oakbrook Church

Children are a heritage from the Lord (Psalm 127:3a), and at Oakbrook Church we believe in the importance of Christian education as well as providing holistic support for families.  Our goals are to aid in the Christian formation of each child we come in contact with, through education, partnership with families, fellowship and fun!  Proverbs 22:6 proclaims, “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.”  Our hope is that the church can aid in starting our children off in the right direction so they enjoy a life-long joyful relationship with God.

Sunday school classes for children ages 2 and up are offered during the 9:30 session.  The Well is curriculum focused, and our hope is that children who attend the Well will gain foundational knowledge of the Bible and come to know God in a personal way.

Acorns is our ministry to our littlest ones, from ages 0-4.  We provide nursery service for ages 0-2 during main service.  Additionally, children ages 2-4 are welcomed in age appropriate Bible lessons and activities.

The Tree House is for kids in kindergarten through fifth grade, where they can come and meet together in an age appropriate worship service.  The Tree House typically has thematic-focused, high-energy curriculum, interspersed with fun activities and games.  Our goal is to have our children come to know God in a personal way, give them practical support on living the Christian life in the day-to-day, and to strengthen and enrich friendships in the process!
